Des suites de la traite n\u00e9gri\u00e8re et du syncr\u00e9tisme religieux d\u00fb \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vang\u00e9lisation des esclaves, Papa Legba est peu \u00e0 peu assimil\u00e9 au diable et nombre d\u2019allusions \u00e0 son \u00e9gard sont encore pr\u00e9sentes du Br\u00e9sil \u00e0 la Louisiane.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle Papa Legba est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans la culture populaire Afro-am\u00e9ricaine comme le diable \u00e0 qui l\u2019on confie sa guitare aux \u00ab crossroads \u00bb afin de jouer divinement de son instrument du jour au lendemain, et acc\u00e9der \u00e0 la reconnaissance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sans sa l\u00e9gende, pas de Robert Johnson, pas de Blues, pas de Rock\u2019n\u2019Roll. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Papa Legba<\/strong> est une association loi 1901 bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Auch (Gers) dont l\u2019objectif grand angle est de devenir une plateforme de ressources pour les artistes de musiques actuelles. Ce \u00ab label ind\u00e9pendant \u00bb \u00e9volue dans une esth\u00e9tique Garage Rock, et pr\u00f4ne le DIY (Do It Yourself) comme philosophie de cr\u00e9ation et de production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019association a vu le jour avec la volont\u00e9 de promouvoir et animer la sc\u00e8ne musicale locale, puis a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une action d’accompagnement d\u2019artistes locaux et \u00e9mergents en leur fournissant des ressources telles qu\u2019un studio d’enregistrement, des outils de communication ou encore de diffusion. Aujourd’hui, avec plusieurs groupes d\u2019Occitanie \u00e0 son catalogue, Papa Legba se veut un acteur incontournable de la sc\u00e8ne musicale gersoise, faisant lien entre pratique amateure et professionnelle des musiques actuelles, ou encore entre acteurs locaux de ce m\u00eame milieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
